Summer in the vineyard

Summer has arrived, but who really believes this?
We have not had to water our vines for the whole month of November, due to consistent rainfall events…unheard of in Sunraysia. To not having a day over 35 degrees before December 1st is also another first for us, usually we have had consecutive days over 40 degrees by now. So growing conditions are fantastic, albeit that the spraying of Copper and Sulphur to protect the vines from Mildew has been out in force more than in previous seasons.
We recently installed a farm management system: Cropx Technologies
This will help us with determining the amount of irrigation needed for each variety. With 24/7 mobile phone access, we can make informed decisions from anywhere in the world.
